Does anyone else have conversations with their dog in which the dog is trying to be helpful but also gives you a little sass?

Well, dogs chewed the cable near my mother’s bedroom window which leads to the fax line so we need to get some new wire and a metal conduit to keep it safe because anything other than metal is just a chew toy for wolf jaws.
